Most new members visit one or two meetings to get a feel for the club and let us get to know you.
When you are ready to apply for permanent membership, please download and use the Membership Application form which will give us all of the contact details needed to set you up as a member of the club, and also of Toastmasters International worldwide.
We would like you to be sponsored by one of our members so ask someone during a meeting. Don’t worry though, we will find a Sponsor for you if need be.
All new members are approved by the club Committee and then we will ask you to pay the joining and membership fees.
Depending upon the time you actually join, the membership fees will vary.
Our membership period runs from 1 September to 31 March.
If you become a member on 1 September you will pay £20 New Member Fee, which covers your new member materials including the Competent Communication and Leadership manuals, and then £72 to cover your club membership up until March 31.
A new member in October pays £92 (£20+£72).
We are keen for new members to commit to a reasonable period of membership, so those joining in February or July will be asked to pay up until the following renewal date.
